Main Landing page (Enter/Exit)

Should I have a landing page with Age "verification" Enter/Exit at the root of my site before visitors see my content? What are the legal ramifications if I don't have this?

So, I've got 1 yes, and 1 no.

Does having a Landing page legally help protect myself from minors accessing the site, or am I just fooling myself? What is the standard for this? I've seen site with and without them. All my sites are hosted in the U.S..

Has anyone had any legal issues regarding this?

the standard I guess would be to protect your ass in the best way that you think is feesable for you.

We have a landing page. I wouldn't go without one.
