Best Email Program/Service to Use

I've been using Comcast for email and heard that
they might put caps on download thresholds.
Been contemplating a change.

Tell me what is the best email program or
web-based email service to use.

I've always been happy using the webmail of any of my domain names..I prefer hostgator for hosting so therefor I always use hostgators webmail (squirellmail)

I love Thunderbird and my servers' IMAP interface.

I find Gmail to be excellent and forward mail from my other domains to it.

If I want to check mail directly on my server, I have either SquirrelMail or Horde available. Both are quite basic, but they work.

Only thing with gmail is the auto responder is a bit temperamental
