Clueless about hosting - Please help

Remember all those years ago when you were starting out and it was all mind boggling?....That's where I'm at.

I know alot about traffic, 3 years in online marketing, but clueless about design and hosting.

Plan to build about 50 affiliate sites over next year, so I want to know what to do about hosting. I reckon I'll be doing about 10,000 hits a month across 3 sites in the next month.

    Any suggestions?

    All help much appreciated

                Hi there,
If you're doing about 10,000 hits a month you don't need a lot of bandwidth. You want to have a brief preview section of at least 3 pages and make sure that they don't pull too much bandwidth to keep the cost down. However, they have to be affective.

Honestly I think you would be better off starting it up on a dedicated server at a fairly low price - and then "add on" to your agreement as you have a better idea of what you'll be pulling.

For instance - buy per gb - ex. 2.00USD

Then you can always do a more serious hosting deal when you have a better idea. Locking yourself into a large hosting deal before you have real estimates is making your business vulnerable.

if your only going to do about 10k you should probably go with a virt account. I host with www.thumbserver.com, they are awesome. If you talk to Jason or Jamie tell them that dirk sent ya. They will treat you right. I think they still have their 300gigs of transfer for 150/month. That's a swingin deal and they aren't on that cogent bs bandwidth.
