xmlrpc, ping or maybe php?

Yeah the title says it all, I am a bit lost on this one.

A couple of sites that I have that I would love to make them ping out everytime I add a post.

Really they are linkdumps, but work alot like a blog with rss and a page after you click the title. Atleast on the hosted movies. These are the posts that I want to ping out with

I was just thinking how nice it would be to ping out to hahahahahahahahahaha and others, but really am fucking lost on which direction to pursue this project or even pursue it at all..

Anyone share some thoughts on this?
