Help! New at everything!!

Anyone have any advice for a beginner on making $ on an adult site? I know that question is about at shitty as walking up to the biggest guy in the gym and asking ' how do i get big like you!? ' But i really dont know how else to ask I have a pretty basic idea about most things, ive messed around with a few free blogs, but have no idea about getting them out on yahoo/google. Are blogs the best way to go for beginners? Any help on getting started from the ground up?!

Quick tips

If you have experience with blogs, then go with them. Blogs are good because the search engines seem to like them. First, work on building a quality site with good content. Pay attention to your design--- nothing too cluttered, use some gradients, make it attractive and easy to navigate. Pay attention to SEO, use appropriate keywords in your posts.

Once you've got that down, then work on building traffic. Swap hardlinks with sites with good page rank, as that will build your own PR (sites with higher PR appear higher in the search engine listings) Get a script and work out some traffic trades. Also, try buying some quality clicked traffic appropriate to your niche. I use trafficholder. Buying clicked traffic by niche is the way to go, and their prices are very reasonable.

This is the best advice I got years ago. Pick ONE idea, keep it simple and straight forward (whether its a tgp, gallery submission, blog, link list). Get it profitable for yourself, even if the $ isn't that good. Then make 100 more of the same thing to make the small profit much larger. Blogs are pretty hot and easy to get going now, pick a template, install wordpress, join our program and start writing away ;)

Do yourself a favor and pick up some books for yourself on the subjects of:

HTML, PHP, CSS, MySQL, XML and on the search engines ( mainly Google )

also learn who is selling traffic and how to convert such traffic... basic business start skills are also good to have...

IMO, if you walk upto the big guys and ask how they did it, they will tell you general information but not the little trade secrets they have.

You have to follow as best as you can what they are doing. Once you have the basics you need to work out how to automate growth and administrative tasks. If you learn some coding you can get an edge over what other people have.

For example, I built my site, signed upto about 500 trades and added 3000 galleries to my site in under a week. I built a script to harvest galleries and a script to signup to AT3 scripts. Its not dodgey because I honor all my trades as if I had signed up manually. I just did it faster.
