    Chamelon Submitter questions

    Hi guys,

At the moment I use http://www.arylia.com/ to make galleries (gallery cms). Now I want to submit my galleries to to linklists/tgp's and am planning to use Chameleon submitter.

I took a look at the interface and find it a little vague,

#1 Can I submit with chameleon submitter while using a cms to generate galleries ?

#2 can someone please help me out with step 4 (duplicate), why do I need to duplicate my gallery ? I took a look at the tutorial, but still don't really get it.

    Some info would be appreciated.

you duplicate to put many recips into the gallery you made without manually doing it yourself. It's probably the best part of CS.

You make a gallery with you gallery maker, then duplicate it with Chameleon. Reason being is that most TGPs require a reciprocial link or banner. Instead of creating 300 html files in your gallery maker by hand, the Submitter now does the job for you, by automatically creating a html file with a recip link already in it. Lets say you make a gallery "index.html"

The big asses TGP wants a reciprocal link. Chameleon dulicates you index.html and calls it bigasses.html and inserts a banner bigasses.jpg on top.

This gallery now gets uploaded to your server, after, the submitter submits

http://....bigasses.html to Bigasses TGP. Their script checks the gallery and finds the recip link.

Ok, so that is the whole reason. So let says I use my gallery creator to make some galleries (leave the .jpg files in a specific location), does this mean I just can copy the source of my galllery and paste it in chameleon or ?....

You don't copy any source. You make a folder with your TGP gallery, where all the pics, thumbnails, banner, and a html file is. Chameleon asks you for a base URL (on the server where it will be uploaded), then for the location where on your computer the new thumbnails are going to be stored (that would be somewhere in you tgp folder), and where the gallery to duplicate is located on you computer (4).

Now you make different thumbnails (3) and duplicate the gallery (4). Then you upload the whole folder with all the thumbnails and dupllicated html files up to the server of your choice (5), test it, and submit it to the TGPs, either automatically or manually, or both (6).
