    Rookie help

I am quite sure that most of you guys are sick of hearing this but is there anyone on here willing to kind of mentor a fella wanting to start a new website?I have limited funds and am looking for someone to help me from the very begining.Like I know I have to get a domain name then get a fed. tax id.Those two things have to be done before I can hook up with other webmasters and or porn related affiliates. But what is the cheapest way to go about that?Oh,and I don't know html code.

Anyone feel up to the challange?

      Hiya bglockm21,

Getting a domain name and hosting is fairly straightforward. You'll want to shop around for a good host, and I'm quite sure that with most basic/economy hosting packages, one free domain registration is included. If you're an American citizen, using your Social Security Number should be sufficient to sign up for affiliate programs. Generally, you only need a Tax ID if you have employees, or if you have an LLC, S-corp, or corporation. If you choose to do business as a sole proprietor, your Social Security Number should suffice.

If you don't know html/css, then your best course of action would be to start off with blogging. Wordpress is free, easy to use, and finding a good designer here who can make a nice theme for you shouldn't be hard at all. It does very well with generating search engine traffic, and so you should have a steady flow of visitors to your site soon after launching.

Let me know if you have anymore questions, and I'll answer them to the best of my ability.

Sands gave some good advice. but its hard to identify what exactly you are trying to do? tgp? free sites? avs? i bet if you use the search function with keywords pertaining to your question you will find tons of useful information.
Good luck and read before you start spending funds.

and Webair hosting has a good starter deal atm

            What to do

To be a little more specific......I was wanting to start a TGP and was going to upload some of the free content from myfreepaysite just to have some starter material.I have picked a domain name that is unused and I think I have picked a web hosting service that looks ok.My biggest question is about taxes. If I don't pick a business name and inc it and just start the pay site do I just claim the income from the site and affiliates as regular income on my taxes at the end of the year?

Yes. Use your SS# and pay taxes on your income.

Forgive me if I seem leary but......

So I get ahold of my web host and claim my domain name and start building the site. When I'm happy with the layout and content publish it to the web.Keep track of my earnings via paper printouts of all transactions and claim all of it on my fed and st taxes as other income. And for all this I don't need a fed tax id state tax id or business name....

If it's that easy why doesn't everyone do it?

Learning how to run an adult website takes time. It is definately not something that you learn overnight. And when you DO learn what you need to know in order to launch and market the website....you need to continue learning. You never learn enough. You can have someone help you along the way but if you do not know any html (as you stated in your post) and you are not backed up with enough finances in order to kick off your project then things are going to be very rough for you. Not to mention, you are going to have to pay the webmaster that's helping you so that's another expense out of the many that you will encounter.

                            Good luck to you though....
