I need a good image program on linux!

Can someone recommend a good image manipulation program on linux, so that i can
quickly rename, make thumbnails, etc..

Also for command line thumb making etc.. have a look at the utility convert. Part of the ImageMagick package.

The one, the only, the GIMP. Kinda cumbersome at first, but ya'll get the idea

Use 'ImageMagick' package and 'convert' utility...

You'll get a good quality thumbnails, image type conversion etc..

And the best - you can use it to make thumbz automatically using it from perl (PHP,...) scripts
