Raising a question about internet content

Some towns and city in the US do not allow certain content.(anal sex, urination onto another person and fisting). Does this only apply to DVD distribution or does it also apply to videos and pictures distributed via the internet? If so, then countless sites might be in violation, correct or incorrect??

Furthermore, I understand most local gov. don't have the energy or dollars to pursue it, but how much legal right do they have to sensor a site local in a different region of the country or for that matter, the world.

Basically, should we be concerned about the guy or gal in Bible Belt, USA(and of course this is after they have rubbed one out) who has viewed a site and feels that is it inappropriate for the rest of the community to be exposed to, so she/he reports the sites content to local authorities. What & how much power do local authorities have to go after a website based in another geo region?

Note: We all know MaxHardcore was busted for excessive vulgarity, but each one (anal sex, Urination onto another person and fisting) of these sexual acts can be performed or displayed without creating a vulgar scenario like Max did.

Looking for to your interpretation of the law and your opinions regarding this topic.

And of course you should consult an attorney before deciding to do anything that maybe 'questionable'. This is only posted to raise thought and not give legal advice.
