Dialers?

I've just signed up for an affiliate and I noticed they mention "dialers" as a percentage of the referral coming from "Dialer". Is this the same thing as the dialer programs that caused havoc several years ago? I'm a little nervous, so please let me know what might be up if you happen to be in the know.

In a case like this dialers are TYPICALLY presented as an alternate billing method and not forced upon the surfer. There are exceptions however.
