    Seo Question

    Hello

In this days, is really important the meta description and meta keyword tags? I have read that a lot of search engines ignore this tags and for example google preferes xml sitemaps. Is better only have a xml sitemap? or both things?

If I have a xml sitemap, should I update it each "x" time or only need send it to google sitemap and its all?

Thanks in advance for your answers, Im a bit lose in this

Sarch On GFY or seochat for "sitemap" you will find a lot of stuff.I think that google doesn't ignore "meta description" I have no good words about sitemaps.I understand that sitemaps it is good for huge websites.
If you don?t have a script in place you have to update sitemaps periodically
that?s it ? Google will get your sitemap via http from your server

some adult search engines and low level search engines use meta tags. i believe entireweb uses them to some extent....but it's no secret the big three do not use them.

If I have a xml sitemap, should I update it each "x" time or only need send it to google sitemap and its all? (once you setup it and inform google about this then google spider will automatically update informations about your sitemap every few days but you have to update your sitemap of course, unless you have some software that do this job automatically)
            good luck
