wordpress 3 columns

Hi guys, i'm playing around with wordpress and the standard design comes with 1 sidebar. I want a blog with 2 sidebars (left, center, right). I've looked around at the forum of wordpress, but i can't find any clear answers. The only answer I can find is: install another theme, but it must be possible to do it yourself or what ?.

When you're using Wordpress, log into the dashboard and click on "Presentation". Wordpress comes with a lot of alternate themes pre-installed. You just have to click on one and see if you like it.

Creating an exact wordpress them to suit yourself calls for a lot of knowledge of php etc. With your level of knowledge, you're better off searching the internet for a free Wordpress theme you like.

Also, if you search GFY's forums, you'll see some members provide some great looking Wordpress themes.

Thnx for the info! I found a really basic "theme" that I can modify to my own needs and it becomes even easier with the "widgets" plugin.

I want to only have three articles on the front page, anyone know how to limit that?

Right now it shows about 5 or 6 I guess.

In the Dashboard, click "Options". Then click the "Reading" tab. Under "Blog Pages" it'll say "Show at most 10 pages". Change this to however many posts you want to display at once (5 or 6). Then hit "Update Options".

BTW on the same page, you can select a page to display as your permanent front page. This can be handy - so the first page your visitors will see will always be the same page instead of your latest post.

You might need to take a look at

there are a lot of free themes which have 1, 2, 3 or even 4 columns. And you don't need any programming knowledge.
