    Problem With Chameleon Submitter......

    Ok, when I click "Go" on Auto Submit, the first few sites go just fine and then the trouble begins.....

    The auto submit completes and the report shows that for nearly every site the following message;

    The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found.

    When I go back to the auto submit tab and check in the status window, it says the same thing next to each site.... If I scroll up a little I can see that before each site had that message attached to it, that it said "trying to Resolve" next to the site name.

    Also, its almost like Chameleon is kicking me off line or something.... and it is weird, because I cannot access some sites, I get a "Server Not Found" page and then other sites come up just fine.....

    Does anyone have any clue what this shit is and how to fix it??

    I submitted using Chameleon for the first time last night and it worked just fine. Today, I have tried 3 times with the same results.

    Chameleon Submitter has probably no influence on this - I would say there is something going on about your connection settings - due to the character of this error message (The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found) its probably concerning your DNS server.

    You can try to fix your DNS server in the Windows network settings or if you have a proxy set in the submitters Connection options (File > Options >
    Connection) try to use a different proxy server for auto submit.

      That is what I originally thought too, however, the other computers that are on the same network did not have any issues at all.

      Also, i do not have any issues at all when Chameleon is not running. this literally only happens when i try to auto submit the galleries. The FTP works absolutely fine; no connection issues at all during that.

      And when Chameleon is not running, I have no connection issues at all.

      So while I agree it is a connection issue, it has something to do with Chameleon itself.

      If anyone has any idea what it could be, please let me know because I am at a loss.

        Sounds like you setup a proxy or something to supercede existing windows settings, you could also have had your firewall block access to the internet - lastly maybe you didnt update your database.
