New here. Question about how much content.

I have come from working on the production side of things at other fetish website. I am starting my own paysite BDSM Roughtied.com. I am producing my own content. At the moment I have about two hours of content and another hour ready to be edited. For now I am doing the clip4sale thing, mostly as a learning tool. stuff is starting to sell at about 1:200. I am not rich yet but it is encouraging. My question is how much content should I have before I sign up with ccbill and start the affiliate thing ? At some point I will run out of cash to pay the wacky porn chicks.

Don't launch the Web site if you don't have content shot, edited and stockpiled. You will not make any money if you can't update regularly, namely weekly. Don't think you can start with a couple of scenes and plow the profits into shooting new scenes as you go along, because you inevitably will fall behind -- and then lose members.

When I started my site, I asked some webmasters about this, and the consensus was: Open the site with about 10-15 scenes on it, have as much material stockpiled as possible and commit to updating at least once a week. I know webmasters who won't open a site unless they've got about 100 scenes in the can. That way, they can update for several months without having to worry about shooting more material. It's a major investment, though. You could get away with a lot less, but I think it would be foolish to have virtually no material stockpiled when you launch.

That is more less what is was thinking. I am think about buing a little content to supplemnt my own. I just want keep the feel the same. There is a new BDSM/Fetish project that I also want to start that I know would be compleatly new to the porn world also. I just have to get roughtied on trak first.

By the way, how is clips4sale?

I think I like clips4sale their UI is a bit clunky but I have sold a few hundred dollors worth of clips mostly from their seach traffic. I have put a link from my site to my store with the same look and stared doing the TGP thing. They claim to be starting an affiliate programme for the stores this summer. Althought the already take forty %. I have even started a Clips4sale board. Have not prommoted it yet. just some thing I did one night. Hell I not even sure how to go about it.
