What does a trade script do? I'm confused

I am so bloody confused now.
Reading that super long forum entry on setting up a TGP.. using a thumb manager and trade script etc.

Years ago I bought some toplist script. It enabled me to submit sites and get people to submit their own sites.. It handled in and out going traffic okish.

So, has this changed?
Do you have seperate software like comus to only build thumbnail galleries?
And software like Arrow Trader to only do traffic?

How does this traffic thing work?
Ie. comus creates a page with thumbs (does it do any hyperlinks with those thumbs?)
does a script like Arrow trader somehow rewrite the page and hyperlinks or what?

Confused!!!

the trade script handles the skimming... your page has thumbs with links to the trade script (with the gallery url as a param) and the tradescript decides if the surfer should be sent to the gallery or to a trade (skim).

Just FYI, now you can get comus and E power trader as a package, they are both supported by the Comus Team
