Im starting a tgp and I got some good leads as far as a server company...But since I am in the start up phase which would be better??? a shared or dedicated server???

If you are serious about your TGP and think that it will take off quickly its best to start with a dedicated server. This way if you are able to make it successful and bring in traffic you wont have to worry about migrating it in the future, or about other users wasting resources or causing your shared server to be unavailable affecting your traffic trades at the most critical time while you are growing.
If its within your budget I would go with a dedicated to start, the only benefit with shared is saving money, but if you are serious you have to look at a dedicated server as an investment with a clear ROI.

It depends on the size you plan to bring it to.
a 15k tgp would use about 50GB of bandwidth. You can make you calculations starting from that.
