Smart Thumbs thumb size change question

I asked this on smart scripts website but didn't get a good answer.

I want to change the TGP thumbs size but there are lots of hand cropped thumbs so I don't want any type of autocrop. Would it be possible if I resized all the thumbs using an external program and then change the thumb size on smart thumbs?
