Godaddy.com or HostGator.com?

First of all, does godaddy allow adult content to be hosted? And should I go with them or hostgator? It's for a small adult blog, and I'd be wanting virtual hosting for it obviously. Just looking for something cheap and reliable (oxymoron, i know).

I use Godaddy only for registering domains. I'd never use them for hosting, ever. I've been using ATCI (http://atcihosting.com/) for about 2 years without a single problem. Any questions I had were answered any time of day/night by Coughlan.

I have all my DNS with godaddy. Their system works fine for me. As far as hosting they suck ass. Let me repeat that, they suck ass! I don't think I can overstate that enough. I absolutely hate when I have to work with them for a client.

Hostgator is a reseller of theplanet.com. Their servers are good but the support... not so much.

GotWebHost.com has treated me the best, I suggest going with them. I have used both GoDaddy and Host Gator in the past, of the two GoDaddy had more issues.

I'd be curious to know if all the people saying not to get hosting with Godaddy have actually had a negative experience and what that experience was. Just to at least help the rest of us keep an eye out on the horizon.

I agree. Do not repeat other people's opinion. Just post your experience. Even free hosting with Godaddy works well but is not allowed adult content.
