TGP submitters, what am I doing wrong?

So i've been submiting for a couple weeks now and yes i know i'm at the begining but the traffic is good i get lots of views/unique but the strange thing is i dont get many people to go past my gallery page.

So for 5000 views/day/gallery i get close to 50-80(first page): 2-10(second page) people to click and go to my content provider.

I do spend time on my design and try to make every gallery i submit unique, good quality pics, and movie shots,

But at this point i'm thinking what can i do to somehow direct more people where i want them to go I've tried including Movies that didnt work that well either.

I'm not good with "messages" so maybe there ...

I would love if someone would just point me in the right direction or give me a few tips on how to better optimise my work.

At this point i'm more interested in learning how to do it right then make a quick buck.

Hi, just a few pointers for you:

Masses of content on those galleries...too much.
On a couple of those designs, you have well over 20 thumbs (one has 28 thumbs?) which is way too many (around 15 is the norm but check with the sites requirements where you are submitting to).
Also the headers look huge (should be reduced considerably) and on the click through links, you only have one link on the footer?

You should have at least two links (preferably 3). The plan is to get people to the tour...your galleries are offering lots of pics before they even reach it.

Some good tips from sexus there, I havent done many galleries but as a general rule I think its wise not to think about your galleries as free porn, but as a way of selling the product (the site).

Im sure the surfers seeing your galleries love them, but that shouldnt be your aim. It should be to tease them and get them to move on to the tour of the site you are promoting. The more ppl that go to the tour the more signups you'll get.

A lot of images, try to do a good desing with pure css + html, use less content and more teaser text. Maybe that could help to improve your CTR

I second that with the content.
Another thing is that 5000 gallery views are not much. You can't expect much out of 5K Galleryview. Average CTR might be in the 3% - 6% range. Depends on how agressive you place your links and on the text of course.
You need to gain your traffic. Get more tgps on your list. Focus on the major tgps and consider getting partner accts.

It takes time , soon you'll get better and have more traffic!

Og and another thing. Make that gallery header smaller. It looks like a FPA or like a paysite! Make the thumbs visible for the surfer without scolling.

Also one reason for the bad CTR is (in the primecups example) that you have only 1 link out , and this link is at the very bottom. Place links in the middle ot on top right under the logo/header.

In this example again .. only one link out at the very bottom PLUS the link is not well visible. Highlight it a little more. Give the link a different color then regular text. Make it bigger too.

Try using simple text as "CLICK ME" Text. Not only grafics. Text can often be more effective.

Conclusion:
* Less Pics! Smaller thumbs.
* Get your gall listed on more TGPs and get Partner Accts
(not before making mentioned changes)
* Make the links more visible. Place them at good spots
Top, Middle, Bottom.
* Highlight them somehow, make it look like a link. Let the surfer
know where to click. Make it bigger than reglar text.
* Try using more text and try text links too.
* YOu might wanna make the actual pics smaller.They are pretty big and can take time to load for surfers with bad connection. Also when you start getting more traffic this is a waste of BW
