Creative Traffic Solution (Without Purchasing It?)

    Hi...

Now that I've established a blog site, I was wondering how everybody began to get traffic to their respective sites. I'm getting a few hundred hits a day, but of those hits the majority aren't clicking around.

I've already submitted to a fuckload of directories...which are sending a small amount of traffic. Google traffic is small, like 80 hits this month so far.

Buying traffic (Traffic Holder) didn't convert.

I was considering purchasing permanent links on high traffic sites, but I don't have a lot of money to toss around. Anybody have suggestions? Is anybody feeling charitable enough to work something out with traffic? Once I get rolling I can write some posts later to get people to visit your site...

    THANK YOU GUYS!
    Cheers...

I'm working on an idea right now, and actually using your blog as a guinea pig, hehe will let you know once I have something.

        dully noted:
You might want to change the permanent links on your blog, they are now like:
        http://www.bestbooty.com/?p=809
        should be more like
        http://www.bestbooty.com/roxy-carter
        SE-friendly URLs might help.
You can do that in Wordpress in Options/Permalinks, then choose Custom and put this
        Code:
        /%postname%/
Also something for the search engines, you might want to disable your hotlink protection. My site here doesn't get a lot of traffic but it does get some SE traffic from Google's image search. So what I mean is I don't know if Google's image search spider will like the hotlink protection. And at the end, do you really think someone can hurt your bandwidth bill by hotlinking your images?

          Allli,

Those were great suggestions -- I've done what you suggested. I'm not too good with SEO quite yet, but my file names should help at least even a little bit.

Space Dog, I'm gonna research and do what you said. My hardlinks are a little crappy right now anyway...a bit of revamping will do me a world of good.

Thank you guys so much. If I can think of a way to help back, you know I will.
          Cheers...
