OK...So I'm not very active here but I figure if there is a place that can help with code, this is it!
I am building a non adult site (*GASP*) and having lots of issues with tables and CSS and IE and Mozilla....so here is the scenario:
My host requires me to use the .shtml extension in order to utilize include files. it is MS server hosting. So i built the site and everything was tooling along well, except i was previewing in Firefox because it is my main browser. I was alerted to the problems when viewing it in IE. The tables go hella wonky in IE and I have not been able to correct the situation. I actually overcame a few issues by using CSS to define some of the table attributes but i don't really have the time to learn how to completely define my tables in CSS and/or rebuild my templates/site in a new way.
Can anyone tell me first off if MS IE is moving towards supporting CSS table definitions and forgetting to read/utilize some of the HTML table tags and attributes?
Second is can the utilization of the .shtml ext. be creating a conflict as the w3c validation wants everything to be xhtml, (or so it keeps telling me).
I'm kind of lost and really frustrated with the browser incompatibilities and just wish to finish my site.
This is the code on one page that is wonky...it views perfect in Firefox and breaks in IE.
It was created in Dreamweaver 8.0
the URL is: dub dub dub.nwnaturepix.com/animals_ocean_deer .shtml
Thanks all for any help!!
I tried putting the code here and it is too long...guess a view source will be it.
