    Anonymous domain/server?

I was thinking of using an offshore company to register my domain: katzglobal, com

I'm totally new to all this. I really want to minimize any risk that someone could connect my name to pornography - just because it would make my life a lot simpler for the time being if that could be avoided.

Do you guys think a totally anonymous domain registration is a good idea? They ask for no personal info and rely on a Swiss Bank Style account/password.

Is this a good idea? Has anyone ever tried it? Do you think there would be problems down the road with dispute over ownership of the domain?

    Thanks for any help.

I would say just use one of the US based domain registrars with privacy protection. I don't trust strange companies who only accept wires.

      Thanks.

I've researched this a bit and it seems the US based ones that do anonymous (such as Godaddy) don't offer much anonymity at all. They have all your info on file and all it takes is some sort of whiff of a complaint to get your anonymity pulled.

I read about peoples' bad experiences on a diferent forum, though. So you may still be right. Just thought this was no names so it might be better.
