Tips for a smooth processor changover?

I'm considering changing processors AND hosts all at once, and I've never done this before. Any tips on how to smoothly go about it?

Make sure you transfer/regenerate teh password files of your users and all new directory changes are setup in all your scripts.

Tip #1: Don't do it all at once. One step at a time to make sure everything runs smooth.

I sort of have to; my hosting and processing are all from one place, and I'm already pretty sure they are skimming signups.
