Wordpress issue with new blog

My Wordpress blog has been working fine for a while now until today. I just wrote a new post and when I published it and viewed the site I clicked on the post heading which usually takes me to the article URL. Instead I go to a 404 page.

I tried clicking on my other posts headings which used to work but am now also directed to a 404 page. Haven't changed anything when all was fine, any ideas?

1. how about a url?
2. check the html source (in wp-admin post editing) for the last post and see if there is anything unusual
3. delete last post and see what happens.

This site won't let me post a url so I have to post it like this:

Not quite sure about the issue but i would guess its something wrong with the Permalink settings. have you tried to set them back to default?

ya probably your htaccess has messed up due to permalink settings...allow writing to your htaccess and change permalink settings again should work

Issue resolved. Just had to re-install my permalinks?? Don't know why but it's working now! Thanks guys.
