Question about hosting...

I was wondering if dreamhost is actually any good. I have seen good and bad posts about it. What I want to do is host movie gallerys and buy partner accounts. Can it handle it? Will they handle it? If they are not good enough, who is? Where can I find a host like this. Thank you.
