2006 Internext

does anyone here have experience with the Internext events? i'm contemplating on whether or not go to the one in vegas next month. i'm wondering if it's productive for paysite owners or is it just a big party? thanks!

ya, i heard that a few times too. i heard the florida one is better, not sure why though. i'd go if i could get some business out of it, but not just for the party. we live in phoenix so a vegas party trip is routine.

i'm more interested in networking and meeting webmasters and affiliates, but if i can get some work done and party....hey!

So far I have been to 2 shows, Internext will very likely be the third.

If you have not gone to any shows, then I would say definitely go, especially if you are within reasonable driving range. My first show was Qwebec, being from TO and it being in Montreal, the travel distance was easy. Was it worth it? Absolutely! I met many people, learned a LOT and partying is part of shmoozing, so it's win-win.

Even if you've been to shows and this would be your first Internext, I would still say go since you're close by. You never know what unexpected deal, partnership, alliance, friend or whatever might surface once you're there.

I prefer the Phoenix Forum!! Haven't heard to many great things about the Internext.

I heard different, apparently this is THE Show of the year. AVN hosts 2 big shows every year, one in january and one in august, with january being the most awaited.

My first show was Internext august. Yes alot of biz gets done and yes it's a big party atmosphere...

In my opinion Florida is far better,
There is a lot of down time by the pool to talk shop.
Its not as easy at a crap table.

I may be biased, BUT XBIZ Summer Forum proved to be a GREAT success and very valuable for the many of those who attended. XBIZ Hollywood Conference will be the same -- with more insightful seminars, networking events, and so forth.

good point about trying to get work done in vegas! vegas and hollywood are close to the same distance from phoenix so at this point i'm leaning toward the xbiz show. more feedback is appreciated....thanks!

You get out of shows what you put into them - if you are there to party you will do just that...

If you can moderate your partying and get out on the floor, attend some seminars, workshops, and classroom sessions - you WILL do business. Both Internext shows are the best attended industry events of the year - alot of people prefer summer because of the laid back atmosphere - and closed off hotel (no public allowed).

Vegas is great for business if you can resist all the tempations and moderate (a bit).

I agree when you party hardy you'll have a great time. Attend a few classes and you might even learn something. Here's a secret: Network while you're there and you'll always benefit the most, don't just sit in a corner.
