    less experienced webmasters

and everyone of you that started in this industry in the near past. What are the things you do not have and you believe are limiting your potentials to become big in this industry. Don't tell me money or experience. Be specific. Maybe there are things you can do with others and overcome these problems.

For me it's a matter of traffic, the quality of my traffic is great. I've been told by one sponser that my traffic is like gold.
      Just an example:
this month i've sent one of my sponsors 1330 hits 41 sales 1:32

My problem is figuring out how to increase the flow of traffic I have and still keep the quality.

        hmm - am I a newbie ?
rather yes, 'cause I started 6 months ago.
For me the most important obsatcle nowadays is lack of time, but in about 1 - 2 months I will definetely have more time to spend on this business.
But undoubtedly the problem is to manby newbies enter the biz, start making sites, tgp's or whatever but they do not treat this as a real business. After I decided that I'll try to make some cash in the adult-industry, first I have been reading a lot about this on places like xbiz or pornresource ( about 2 hrs a day, for 6 months ) not to make the newbie mistakes and not to lose money.
Some newbie webmasters may have also problems with selecting the right sponsors, the right places to buy traffic etc.
If someone enters this biz with little or no investment at all, he must be very carefull in chosing them.
Mesage boards, like GFY are great, but there is sure a problem that although they are very useful, many newbie webmasters don't have other webmaster friends. On a board like GFY, one can learn very much, or get his questions answered, but it's definetely not the same as having 2,3 or 4 fellow webmasters, with whom you can ICQ all the day long or who can tell you the thruth about some sponsor's stats ( because they do not put their reff. code ), how to get listed on a particular TGP or how to work with a particular PPC SE... Or just chat, to motivate each other...

        I don't use ICQ anymore.

I'm not new, but I bet $ is the number one constriction.. it's easy to make $ with basic stuff (typical newb stuff - AVS, free sites, TGP, [e.g. anything but paysites]) if you got the $ to buy like 5 new domains/day (for SE traffic), buy auto submission scripts, buy tons of content, gallery spots, etc.

When i started my biggest problem was to figure out how to turn the hits into $$$.

but this bussines is like any other bussines

Its important to have a plan, and before you can make a plan, you need to know how the system works. Use at least one(I used 3) of the Online XXX Webmaster schools, to get the facts straight.

Listen to what people have to say, but learn to se the difference between good bad bad advice.
dont look at this signature, Wildcard told me making money on GFY is baaaaaaaaaddd - so my sponsor links have been removed

I've been in this biz full time for 3 years now, but the biggest mistake I made starting out was giving up the day job too quickly. Well, my *biggest* mistake was getting screwed over by partners, but that's another story...

If you quit your job as soon as porn is paying your bills, you have no money to re-invest in your business. Keep your day job & save your money to buy content, traffic, hosting etc.

Once your porn income is steady enough to pay for all your business costs & keep a roof over your head, then quit.

What type of revenue streams work best for pay sites other than mainstay member signups? We have been in this industy for a short time now and our member base is small but growing steadily. Seems like a tough line to read between keeping the day job and still have enough time and energy to be productive with site. Thinking about selling output like cd rom and dvd's and sell exit traffic for more revenue streams. Can anyone tell us some more effective tools for generating income from original content pay sites? Show me the $$$
