    argh! Feedwordpress cron helpppp!!!!

I would be mighty happy if someone could help me out with this one.

I've set up feedwordpress on one of my blogs, and can't get the bloody cron job to work and auto update. I'm doing it in CPanel.

The standard syntax the install file gives is this:

    cd $HOME/my/file-path/wp-content ; php -q update-feeds.php

I've tried a load of different cversions of this I've found online and nada.

    Helllppp please!

Could be a lot of things, there should be a logfile somewhere with the errors in it.
Maybe PHP is not installed on the server (not the PHP in the webserver) or the script doesn't has the requred privileges to execute (chmod).

That syntax works for me, except I had to replace the home variable with the full path.

What happens when you hit /wp-content/update-feeds.php in your browser? Does that work? If it doesn't, the problem isn't with the cron job.

It is also possible that you don't have php installed as cgi module.
Try entering "php" on the command line. Do you get any output?

          Try using wget or curl...

          Code:
          30 * * * /usr/local/bin/curl http://www.example.com/update-feeds.php > /dev/null 2>&1

use google with the words feedwordpress cronless

there is a guy who updated the script so that it can be updated without the need for a cronjob. Especially useful when, as in my situation, the cron is only running once an hour .. (feedwordpress has time-out issues when having many rss feeds

            Tjsak!
