Using TOO many different keywords bad?

So I just started a blog with a bunch of sub categories which means lots and lots of keywords that I can use.

When I'm using keywords in my text, is there a point where I can use too many different keywords?

To clarify, I'm not talking about keyword density. I'm compiling a list of keywords that I think goes along with my niche/blog that has traffic on the engines.

Is there a point where I use too many different keyword (phrases) that will decrease my ranking on google for certain terms?

For example, i'm doing a porn blog, if I have a large set of relevant keywords for straight, anal, orgy, and etc.

And use them for each category. Will google penalize/dilute my site so that I will get lower ranking? for main and sub pages?

no, I don't think so, if you don't repeat them many times ...

i wouldn't take my word seriously, but i'm pretty sure the search engine food is search engine food. i'd say text that shit up, use as many keywords as you want and use them repeatedly to get your point across to the spiders.

I suggest you to keep using many different keywords since sticking to a few ones can be harmful for your text , not for SE but for your readers.Try to write naturally while inserting your keywords , use variants, for example if you are targeting "pornstar" you may use "porn star".SE can relate amazingly well (sometimes) a word with another and your users wont see the same exact word once and again and again.I use to play with stop words (usually three-lettered words) since SE usually ignore them and I've got excellent results (at least for my niche which is swingers). For instance: "...SWINGING is a way for COUPLES to...." in the SERP you'll see the words SWINGING COUPLES highlighted since those are the ones it takes on count. It's easy to do, you just need to try a little and after a while you'll be doing it as quick as normal writing.Keep on writing new content , that's the key.

I'm always ready to hear suggestions about getting traffic or SE positioning.

I was reading on SE and webmaster boards that if you do use to many different topics. it could dilute your results and lower your ranking.

Ok, time for the SEO king to speak, oh what?? he isnt available?? ok, guess i will have to do it for him....lol..Just kidding, but i do have a lot of experience in SEO and writing for it. I was writing SEo text when SEO was still an illusion on the internet, and I still write it very succesfully today.

so far, all of you are right and all of you are wrong!!!

You want to use a variety of keywords obviously. if you keep repeating the same words over and over again, you just seem like a bumbling idiot, it is hard to follow and it makes the reader want to clcik away faster than hell.

Ok, kiddies, Lesson 101 in Writing an effective SEO text.......

Step one- Write down every single relevant keyword you can think of for your site.

Step 2- decide which 5 of those words are the absolute, hands down most important. those 5 words become your MAIN KEYWORDS and we like to call those your SEO TERMS.

the rest of the list becomes secondary keywords. Now, while writing your article, you simply use your 5 SEO Terms as many times as you can without sounding like the bumbling idiot that you could easily become, and then just fill in the remainder of the list naturally as they fall into place.

BAM, you have an effective SEO text, it sounds good, and you covered all your keywords. the search engines love you, the readers want more and before you know it, you own the playboy mansion and are living the good life!!

Now, this is not as easy as it sounds, so my suggestion is simply this.......
