I was 4 hours ago speaking with good friend of mine. He was very unhappy, because he is photographer and last 3 months worked on job for company which now run out of money and got out of the business before paying him. He did sets of about 1,000 pictures with 10 different girls, 10,000 pictures total. But because it is made on digital with resolution about 1000x768 (cant remember the first number exactly) they do not want it in magazines and he is not on internet, so he is unable to sell it.

He offered me exclusive internet rights for all 10,000 pictures for $40, but because it is vanilla and i specialize to niches, i could not do anything other than resell it to another person and i do not want to make the process more complicated or profit of him, he is just to good friend and i am very sorry for him.

So i would like to ask anybody here, if you could help me and tell what value he could get for his work and who could be interested to purchase it.

Most of sets (7, i think) are about 1,000 images where girl is nude or semi-nude and masturbates with dildo. 2 sets are hardcore, 1 set is lesbian action. All photos are in resolution i mentioned, average is 300-400 kb in size. He is legal license owner and has photos of girls with IDs, but only 1 ID/1 girl, we do not play on 2 IDs here in East Europe. If the buyer would need translations of his agreements with girls or any other documents, i am good friend with one attorney who worked also in Britain, she can surely help.

I know that nobody can promise anything exactly before seeing samples, but i need to wake him from letargy ang get him to net to show it, so i would like to be able to tell him the price what the experienced people from here thinks he might get.

The problem is he will get to computer to post samples in January if i do not alarm him with possible deal at interesting price, he is very depressed with it and does not believe in success. And i cannot promise anything because i am new in content production and really do not know what value his content has. Just guessing few hundreds USD. I understand that when you see samples you can tell you do not like them or they have lower value than you were thinking from my description.

Are you explaining me that model release is the scan of model photo with ID or is there model release different document? Sorry for this i am real beginner and translation of law terms is difficult for me. He has the photos of model with ID, no problem here.

Does he have a document releasing the images, from the models?

I need to see a copy of this document and he must have one for each model and a photo id proving the models are over 18 years old.

We do not use term release, but agreement between distributor and model where model states she is paid for the photos forever and agrees that distributor may post it everywhere and resell to other persons. Also the agreement is not in english because there is illegal to let sign anybody anything in language he doesnt understand here. But i may get the word by word translation from attorney.

As i see the situation and think more about i will probably wait till January, ask him for the samples and then post here link. Maybe if i visit few content providers and check their prices before i would better understand what he could await to get for it.

If you have signed paperwork whereby the models release all rights to the photographs or depictions however used, then you can sell the content. You may also have the option of selling the same pictures several times, to different websites, if you wish. However, if you choose to sell to one website, and give exclusive rights to that site, you cannot sell those pics to anyone else.

If you have 1,000 pics of 7 different girls, I'm assuming that's roughly 150 pictures per set. Depending on the quality of the pictures (which would require examples), they could be worth anywhere from $20 to $100 per set.

No problem, content is legal, but our country was disapproved to use Paypal. They charged us $1.95 initial fee, forced us to fax them private documents and then told our country is disapproved and fee non-refundable. I would never make any transaction with company using paypal, just worried to have all money stolen.

I think he shouldn't broker it, because he would feel better getting a lump sum sooner. I think it is harder to find someone to buy rather than broker too. We buy some bulk deals, but usually only HQ, and not too much of a model.

If they are not complete shit, they are worth of $.20-$1.5 per a pic, depending on their quality i.e. $2K - 15K per a whole amount. I mean exclusive reselling rights, indeed.

There is only one disadvantage I can tell without seeing those pics - usually there is no need in 1000 pics of one model, 400 is more than enough if she was shot in different clothes and/or in different locations and 150 pics is more then enough if the model was shot in one location in the only single clothes. No one will want to pay for extra pics that are useless. So in the first case you can skip all what is over 400, and in the second - all what is over 150. I.e. that means $800-$6K or $300-$2'250.

I.e. in a very very worst case it should be at least $300, not $40. Unless their quality is an unimaginable shit, indeed.

BTW, I could tell you aprox. price for the content, but I need to see thumbnails for whole sets with at least couple of full-sized samples. Full-sized samples are needed to evaluate a technical image quality (sharpness, light, etc.). And the thumbnails to all pics are needed to evaluate the composition quality - poses, clothes, how different the pics are one from others (with digital cams some photographers sometimes make too much very similar shots).

Something is little different, i have counted only 7,400 pictures and he has 12 girls there, but the main problem remains - what is the value of the content and what he should do.

I have a lousy dial-up here, so I can't look over all of those sets, but from what I can see (and seems the sets are pretty similar) I can tell that the quality of the pics is pretty good (though I wouldn't say it's a pro quality) but the composition is not too bright - no any even simpliest storyline (just different poses) and too much pink closeups (it's strictly my opinion). Girls are also so-so - not teens, not busty, not mature, just plain 25-30 y.o. models (this is also strictly my opinion).

Also it seems the pics need some further image processing, that decreases their current cost.

As for the total cost, it depends on whether he wants to get rid of this content at once or he wants to spend some time looking for buyers.

I'd say $0.5 per a pic is a pretty possible price for the content like this if he want to sell it all at once. May be some big resellers can pay more if they want. I'm also sure some resellers or paysite owners can pay .75 or $1 per a pic or may be even up to $1.5, but most probably they won't buy all this content, they will want only some small portion of it.

Personally I don't need that much of such similar content. I could consider buying couple of sets of each girl, but definitelly not all of this content.

I think you are way of base!!! Your own site shows 4-5 70pics series of the same girl..

According to you, this could be worth $ 3400.00 and more for 10 valid series.

I shoot in Montreal. I pay my good models ( and they call back) about $125.00 canadian for a 2 hour session. I can take up to 400 pics during that shoot. If I do a lesbo, I get 2 or 3 girls, shoot a solo which each of them, then a group shoot. I give them each $ 50.00 extra, so 175.00 Can each!

I can produce the above easilely for $2000.00 Can ( about $US 1300.00) with all the model releases, 2 ids, my website logo on t-shirts, headbands, etc... and completely exclusive and NEW.

There are NO shortage of girls, so why would someone pay more than 500.00 $US for this.

Give me real hardcore , objects, kinks and the....

I doubt you will put your money on the table for this...

I have not seen your pics yet, may be you are shooting them all in the only room and with the Codac 240 class camera, but even if it's is really so, I hardly doubt you will sell me your pics for .50 per a pic exclusivelly, not speaking about $0.19 ($1300 for 7000 pics - you said you can make it)

$500 is nothing for this content. And though I'm not a reseller and I do not need more then 20% of this content, I could easily buy all of it for $1000, with only one condition - I need it on CDs. Indeed I have some doubts in the exclusivity of this content but for $1000 I can live with it.

I have also 2 potential buyers who contacted me via email and i feel unfair to establish purchase without letting them to tell their exact offers (unfair to them and to the friend). So i will wait about a day for these two people reactions and if their offers will not be higher than $1000, i will contact you and we can speak details.

Sure can. and with your logo, etc.... I am not a content reseller, but I operate 3 websites with members. Hmm, did not he paid to the models? I suppose he pad at least $350 to these girs for the job, even considering low income at your country. I also think he paid something for the appartments. Overall I can say that if he tries to establish a production he will find out very soon, that $1000 for 7000 pics does not even cover his expences.

Honestly in the country where I am located at the moment $1000 looks more like annual income of an average man. But my firstcost is still much higher then .15 per a pic. It's just not the models wages that makes a main overhead.

Anyway, I submit that I can buy this content for $1000 if it wiil be sent to me on CDs. Though it would be great if you sell it to other people for this or higher price. It's just technically inconvenient for me to resell images currently. I just did not want you to dump it for nothing. I was a beginner not that long ago and I know that money do not come easy to photographers in this business.

Because you shoot the content for your own websites you do not count anything except what you pay to models, nor you analyze what exactly you get for each model. If you try to sell them you can be surpriced. Some models are not worth a shit, but some can make you big money. Regretably the worthless models are the majority.

But if you are really willing to sell your pics for .5 per a pic, may be I will try to buy some pics from you when I take care of some technical questions that do not allow me to be a reseller right now.

What country are you from?

As for the price - take a look through GFY and you will find a topic about one spammer who used to sell 9000 for around $100 non-exclusivelly. That shit was much worse than what you are showing here and I'm pretty sure he sold his stuff more then five times. Do the math.
