    Contracting Non-US talent

Has anyone gone through the process of signing a model in Canada to an exclusive contract? I am in the process of doing so and I have no idea where to start. If this were a US model I am sure it wouldn't be a problem. I just need to know what legal issues come into play?

I'm no authority, but it can't be that complicated.
Shouldn't be any different than hiring a US model.
We basically have the same laws as you regarding adult content.
However, the model would need a work visa to work in the states.

You might be able to get around that, if you get a Canadian affiliate, then have the model be an employee of that affiliate.
That way you can declare you are paying a Canadian model agency and not individual models working in the states.
