Dreamweaver

Im sitting here doing some coding in Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004 and I have a problem.

Every time I paste a piece of code in all my <, > and " are changed to "<" and """. Anyone know how to fix it so Dreamweaver lets me paste code properly? So I dont have to go threw it editing it every time?

Split your window into Coder and Designer mode. Then paste what you have into the "Designer" section of the screen.

There is an easier way. If you're not used to CODE - then it can get confusing. Try this instead:

in the DESIGN screen, place your curcer where you want the item to go, then select the CODE screen and the curser will be where you want the item

      or

in the DESIGN screen, place your curcer where you want the item to go, then RIGHT CLICK and select either QUICK-TAG-EDITOR or INSERT-HTML.

I'm not sure - but INSERT-HTML might not have been off of the right click menu, if its not, then try off of the SITE drop down at the top.

See- you move up to DW8 - and you forget yoru roots.. DAMN! I will fireup an older PC that has MX04 on it and double check and re-post.

      Good Luck!
