    Comus thumbs / Zend optimizer question

    Holey fucking shit... I feel I have stepped into a world so far away from that of which I know, it really bothers me. I have checked out the forums on the zend optimizer website, and the best I could get was to run the install.sh file, and follow the instructions from there... I did that through firefox and it just tries to download it. Duh right, I know...

    I am scared and confused, does anybody here have experience with installing this peice of sotfware onto their server?

    I have installed Comus dozens of times but never ZEND. Typically your hosting will be able to install and configure the package for you without cost (I know mine always have after emailing them to ask).

      if you are using shared hosting, you can not setup zend yourself, you need root access, and use ssh not firefox

      to see if zend optimizer is installed create a php file called test.php with this code:

      <?php
      phpinfo();
      ?>

      save the file, and run the test.php script in your browser. if you see Zend Optimizer listed in your phpinfo page, then it is installed. if not, ask your webhost to install it for you.

              quote of the day!!

              I think you'd be better off installing it with IE if you have those options, or just have your host do it, that's what I do. When your ready to play with comus, hit me up
              Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
              think about that
