    trademark? copywrite?

    hello my name is G. (g-dott) i'm just getting my feet wet in the adult bussiness i started my LLC a few months ago i was wonering if it is nessary to trademark my LLC and my logo if i wanted to use them on my website or box covers etc.

    Work is copyrighted as soon as you author and use it. You gain additional protection by statute if you register it (attorney fees in litigation and so forth). I don't know much about trademarking. Anyone?

      Trademarks are great if you can get them. Its intellectual property and gives you a kind of monopoly over a trading name/mark. Sometimes you see business go bankrupt and the only thing the liquidators can get good money for is the registered trademarks...

      But not everything can be trademarked... and its not free to get a trademark registered internationally. But you can always for the TM next to all your business marks, which says the mark isn't legally registered anywhere but your making a claim to it anyway (which might hold up in court for lawsuit purposes).
