Purchased traffic performance

I purchased traffic for my new webcam site. I paid $1000 for 8300 clicks at niche specific traffic, mostly campained on Yahoo. In almost 6 weeks, it generated $4000 in sales. I only received about 400 register users. Are these good numbers? I figure these numbers arer a bit low. Any suggestions for better performance? I just recently redesign the website hoping it will lead to better conversions.

That $4000 in gross sales. Unfortunately my new webcam site has a shared database of camgirls, that I had to pay for. I actually broke even during this tafffic campaign

If I had my own camgirls working for me (and perhaps selling them to the same database), I would of had a net profit of $1500-2000, on the same $4000 gross sales.

Of course now, I am looking for camgirls for my website to be profitable. I am webdesigner turned webmaster and still learning the industry/market.

Dont deal with clickedadulttraffic.com I cought them sending me bogus proxy IP fake unique traffic. Then he got irate and defensive when I told him I was going to track it which I did and cought it. I'm glad I didn't buy from this guy. But clips4saletgp is looking for quality traffic, if your ligit hit me up!.

It actually a typical refferal or affiliate program. But unfortunately the setup is being done right now and won't be completed until Monday.

The programmer setting up the link codes, is off on vacation.
