    HTML help

Hey, I want to know how I can make something come up in search engines, like a statement or something, but not have it actually be visible on the page? So that if somebody googled the subject they would find it, but it would not be part of my page. I remember vaguely that this can be done but forget how. Anybody got an answer for me?

    Thanks alot.

not sure if comment tags would work. it will work on your page that way but i dont know if the SE will read info in a comment tag - otherwise there'd be a lot of useless into in the SE's since coders use comment tags a lot.

the other way people do/used to do is to make your text the same color as your background. so it appears "invisible" to the eye. but this has long been flagged as a blackhat SEO tactic and would probably result in less search engine traffic.

          hope that helps

you can make a div layer, put text in it, en make the visability property 'hidden'

I'm not sure... hmm... you can also use ...
                Code:
                <p style="visibility:hidden;">invisible text</p>
but you should know some SE's can ban your sites for such techniques
