If it displays "wrong" in firefox, it isn't coded correctly

Even though this isn't entirely helpful, it is most likely accurate. I don't know of any tools that will automagically fix it, but you should be able to look at what's displaying and then look at the html/css to see what looks off.

If you're not really familiar with html/css I'd look at amazon.com for a book. In the mean time though if you posted a link to the site in question, someone here may be able to help you to see what is causing it.

make pages in valid html / css and you will have no problem in firefox.
There can be still couple of differences between IE / Firefox, for example this one http://webdesign.about.com/od/css/a/aaboxmodelhack.htm , but its IE bug and not Firefox fault.

There is a current issue with Firefox not displaying floating .gif images correctly. Is that the issue you ran into? If so, it is supposed to be fixed in version 2.0.

Tell us what the specific problem is, and we'll try to help you to fix it. Other than that, the only "tools" available are those which check your XHTML markup (http://validator.w3.org) and your CSS (http://validator.w3.org).

Good tool - most of it is image display, odd tables. Luckily the sites are all in php so wont be too hard. The percentage thing seems to be the biggest issue, did not know that so fixed.

                    Thanks :D

Grab the firebug and html validator extensions for firefox. Two of the best extensions for web development, period. When you have designed your page so that you pass validation, you can be sure it will most likely display properly in all browsers. IE is, by far, one of the worst standards compliant browsers so additional tweaks may need to be made from there to work around its quirks.. but passing validation should always be the goal when authoring HTML. Those two extensions I mentioned make it much easier to test and debug your HTML.

If you use anything like microsoft frontpage, you can almost always be sure youre pages wont display properly in anything but IE.
