Need help on configuring servers

Hello all,
I'm new to this forum, so please help me out!
I'll be starting up a paysite really soon, full asian based.

My question is: If i were to use 1 server as the web server, 1 as the auth server, and 3~4 content download server, how can I let the auth server know which content is on which server? and also let the content server know that the auth server already approves the authencation?

1 more question..what kind of system specs would I be looking at for the auth server? Thanks everyone!

Are you going to have 3-4 servers for content, but identical on all servers( like a 250 gig total content available either from server1, server2, server 3 ).

Then you need to setup either load-balancing or Round Robin ...

Why donèt you start with one server doing all to begin and grow as the demand justifies it .

then use rsync with a cron job to sync the password file on all content servers.
