Is anyone using Carma CMS along with NATS or w/o NATS?

Im getting more and more fustrated with Carma over the past week due to its inability to allow sub-structures and corrective ladder chains. The fact that its encoded doesnt exactly make me that excited either nor the fact I have two custom scripts by them now just to get wmv9 to work right. Does anyone else have any issues with Carma?

    Hi,

can you tell me what exactly you mean by sub-structures and by corrective ladder chains?

The wmv9 issue comes from ffmpeg problems that appeared when we added ffmpeg into CARMA in 1.1.1.

There are ways to do anything in CARMA... you just need to find a good way to do them if its not native in the system.

In your case for example, I would setup one video content set per DVD with just either a preview video or a full-length video maybe.
Then setup a video content for each scene which will have scene clips as the clips in it.
Now use extended data to link the DVD to all the available scenes.

Does what you want, might not be 100% straight-forward but we can not think of ALL possible ways people might want to setup their members areas and as of yet noone has asked for the feature.

Now that someone did we can of course look into this in detail and see what we can do there.

If you need more help, I suggest you use the client support area.
