Could you say a bit more about that? Why was it not possible to install it on dreamhost? Cause I'm on dreamhost and thought of using Scypted for one of my sites!

I was going to buy it,the webmaster from scrypted needed certain permissions that we could not get to install it so we scrapped it.
I think it was maybe ssh

Maybe you should have contacted the great and fast responding Dreamhost customer service
