    verification

I'm a little fuzzy on this and I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing before I start.

I just signed up and created a template in the wizard at nastydollars. I'm ready to point my domain towards the template which is a worldcup typo - getting TONS of hits! this month. Do I need a adult verification page before the template (hosted on ndfreehost)?

    Thanks - billyde

Verification for what? Are you talking about the warning page? If so, why would you use it?

Yes, I'm talking about the warning page

I'm not certain about the law...so I want to make sure that I don't need an "ENTER" & "LEAVE" linke like most of the porn sites have before the viewer actually sees the content. I would only use it if I have to by law.

Excuse my ignorance Joe...and I thank you for your advice.

There is no law requiring a warning page. Though you may want to check your local laws, they may not let you run an adult site where you live.

          Re

Thanks. I live in Tokyo most of the time but my US address is in South Pasadena, FL. I have addresses in both places...so would they go by the address that is registered with the registrar of the domain? Would I be in the clear if I host the content on a free server?

I don't know the laws in Japan, but you may want to use that address on your registration. I use my lawyers address. As long as they don't know you're in the US, they can't do anything.

As for Florida, watch out. I know there was one webmaster (Chris Wilson, a dipshit BTW) who ran his site in FL though it was hosted in the Netherlands. They still arrested him and got his site taken down. Just because it's hosted some where else doesn't mean they can't get you.

Much thanks for your advice. I'll think this one over. I'm not sure about the law in Japan about this either...and the last thing I want is to be locked up in a cell that is shorter than I am & eat fish heads and rice for the rest of my life.

The Japanese Justice System has a 99.97% Conviction rate !!!

anyone want to buy some domain names??

All of them. It's the local city and county laws you have to worry about.

                    Restricitons

How do I go about finding the local laws on porn? I looked online but typing in the word porn pulls up everything but what I want to find out.

I have an alternate address in Burnaby, BC (Vancouver). What about switching the registration to there then proceeding? Anybody know the deal in Burnaby?

                    Thanks -
