And the absolute most important thing of all - _responsive_, helpful, available telephone customer service. I signed up with a new host recently and when I asked them questions they said 'refer to the email we sent you when you signed up'. That's the kind of attitude I _don't_ want. Compare that to nakedhosting (nakedhosting.com) - I have an account with them, & get email from them asking if there's anything they can do for me! I'd use them in a min except they don't have the Linux etc. stuff I need.

I'dreally appreciate referrals & can get feedback from the search function on webhostingtalk.com or the host-rating sites.

Gee I hate to sound so suspicious and wary, but I've been burned before and wasted so much time horsing around transfering DNS, reconfiguring everything etc.

I use Host Trade they have been excellent. No down time and gave me instant support via ICQ, which I though was pretty good.

OMG stay away from Host Trade! I was with them and they were terrible. The absolute worst customer service! Customer service barely speaks english. The sites were down alot. They sent me an email two months after I left saying they moved my site to a new server. I emailed them back several times saying the sites weren't hosted with them anymore. But it took three emails for the guy to understand english!

I seen alot of complaints about this host on another webmaster board. Moving there would be a very bad choice!
