Buying Traffic.

I first visited this site about a year ago, signed up a few weeks ago, so i guess I should post something before you all accuse me of stalking
I just completed my site today and am ready to start promoting it.
The site contains multiple galleries (image and movie, more to be added shorly). Its basically a test site, before we start our own paysite.

I have spent the last week or so going over the different options for getting traffic to my site.
I have found that while there are alot of gallery listing sites, the number of sites that you would need to post to get get any sort of result seems like it would take a LOT of time.
I would prefer to buy traffic, as long as I could expect to recover the costs of the exercise. I am not here looking for a big proffit, like I said its just to test how things work.
One site that I have come accross is Traffic Circuit. Anyone used them before? Are there any others that come recommended? I am still working through the list that is on adult sponsor test.
I guess my question is, is it worth just buying traffic? or do I also need to be looking for the more time intensive methods. if so, can I expect a reasonable result for a few higher ranking list sites? Or do I need al 1,500 or so that PartnerRequester provides... even if it is to just break even. Which of the two methods return the best results for your own sites?
When I factor in what my time is actually worth (or more precisely, what my time is usually charged at) I see buying traffic as the cheaper method.
Maybe I should just hire a data entry guy to submit listings to the link sites?
