    Video Capture Problems (16:9 Wide)

I need some help if it's possible.. I think I fucked up! A while ago I was recording some footage with my camcorder and I recorded it in 16:9 Wide. Now when I do a video capture from the camera to my computer the video is stretched out and shit doesn't look to good.. especially when you're trying to show how nice a booty looks. Is there anything I can do, or any program I can use to either capture so that it will be the wide screen look on the video file like this?

Or anything I can to do make it look regular?

That often depends on the camera itself.

Some shoot a true widescreen (16 x 9) image, and others just "letterbox" the 4 x 3 image by putting the black frames.

The first step would be to insure the capture program knows what it is working with.

Even Windows Movie Maker (free in SP1 and SP2) has setting. Open it, set stuff to MTSC / 16 x 9, then capture to DV-AVI and see if that helps.

There is also a pretty good freeware program called WinDV that captures smoothly.

Thanks Jimmy.. I'll try that.. no this camera must have shot in true widescreen, I thought that i just added the black frames but when I view it on a TV it is stretched out to full screen and distorts the picture.
