I'm using 4. I'm just starting up my website and I figured any more would just be hard to build up cash if i use an extensive amount. But to have a very good, wide selection of quality photos, I feel like I need to.

I probably wouldn't feel this if it was a niche site, but my site is general and i'm trying to find the best of the best.

When you start a new site, as a newbie, 1-2 are ok, if you see that you have traffic and they don't perform well, you can switch them with others, or simply change to test some more sponsors ... Anyway, you can't stretch to too many when you don't have much traffic ...
