    Firefox question

I have been pondering getting my sites code in order - they all seem to work in FIREFOX and there is no doubt alot of demand there for members to ensure sites are compatible. Is there a package or software/code analyser that makes sure all sites work, and if not what code changes to ensure it.

Thanks all as i'm sure many will have the same question.

You need to find yourself a CSS guy who can implement fixes and hacks to make the site lign up perfectly in all browsers.

    I am that guy.

I have ICQ. If you need me, you know the drill.

I am not aware of any. But you could indeed hire someone to test and configure your website to work in all browsers.

You can submit your websites through a CSS/HTML validator, and that will check them to make sure they are compliant code. This will make sure no major bugs are present that would affect rendering on a given compliant browser.

Firefox itself has some built-in tools to help this process. The "Web Developer" extension often comes built in to Firefox. It is really helpful to anyone developing websites. Nice big toolbar along the top with options and features for web dev. Choose Tools, then Validate CSS or Validate HTML.

Check it out -- you probably already have it installed

          validator.w3.org - http validator
          jigsaw.w3.org - css validator

As far as I know, Opera 9 beta, Konquerer (KDE/Linux), and Safari (OS-X) are the only browers the currently pass the acid 2 test, but i could be wrong.

Exactly. Web Developer toolbar is one of the best extensions out there. Make sure your sites pass validation, then tweak them from there, if they still dont render correctly.
