    resizing images

    Hey there peeps

Whats the best way to create a thumbnail from the origional picture, without reducing the quality of the thuimb?

ie. the origional file is 680x1024 and 252kb in size,
the thumb would preferably be 90x120 and 4kb in size.

Whenever I have tried to get the thumb to that filesize, it looses the quality and looks awfull...

Please spam me with ideas and tips or software that could possably do this.

Thats exactly what Ive been using, but for some reason the quality doent come out the way it should, I suppose it would just need a bit of mucking around with.

                  photoshop for sure

I always use photo shop for all my photo editing needs, I use CS2.. that is the best one.. and it is new too.. keep the resolution up around 200 but drop the pixels... that way it will be sharp but the file will be small...i use photo shop all the time for all kinds of shit.. my website is tobyogden.com

When using the "save for web" option...

1 - Make sure it is set to JPG, and not defaulting to GIF.

2 - Simply use the sliders to get the quality / file size combination you like.

Most of the other programs listed do the job faster if you have a large number of images.
