    Which TGP software will do this?

    I'm looking for TGP software to use for our own database of galleries (no outside submissions) that will allow setting the maximum number of galleries for the same paysite each day.

    In other words if set to "1", only one gallery for each paysite could possibly be displayed.

    If set to "2", the maximum number of randomly selected galleries for a single paysite would be two.

    Basically, I'm trying to avoid scripts that just randomly select galleries so we never see 10 different galleries for the same paysite on the same day.

    Thanks for your help,
    James

    One possible solution in Comus would be to:

    - Group galleries for the same paysite into a category; and
    - Pull galleries, one from each "category" (aka. Paysite), for the TGP site, instead of at random out of a larger pool.

      TGP Rotator can do that.
      In addition to putting galleries in a category (Anal, Asian, Lesbian,...) you can add information about the sponsor/paysite to the db....

          If you can dream it up, Comus can do it, we have better support than any other script, what your askiing for is easy! Our support forum is a busy place, we have techs in several places in the world, so usually, someone is awake all the time, it's rare that someone waits longer than a couple hours on a question. We have a free version that can be upgraded, so give us a try, then if you like it, upgrade. Any other script copies our features, we are the leader!
          Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
          think about that

            Thanks for the replies. I actually own a copy of TGP Rotator that has been running one site for quite a while. Yes, there is a field to enter the sponsor information for each gallery but I don't believe it's possible to limit the number of galleries from each sponsor each time you build the new pages. We have been running version 1.0.1 for about 1 1/2 years. When we intstalled TGP Rotator, I asked their tech support if this feature exists, but at the time it wasn't possible. Does anyone know if this is possible in newer versions? I'll check with their support about this again.

            I looked at smart thumbs and comus again and I didn't see this feature listed. I see how Dynamix's suggestion would work. If we tried this approach, is it possible to setup templates in Comus that select random categories so the paysites would not always be the same and have the same placement on the page? Or is it possible to setup categories 2 tiers deep? As in:

            Teen -> Paysite1 (gallery1, gallery2, gallery3...etc)
            Teen -> Paysite2 (gallery1, gallery2, gallery3...etc)

            Voyeur -> Paysite1 (gallery1, gallery2, gallery3...etc)
            Voyeur -> Paysite2 (gallery1, gallery2, gallery3...etc)

            Thanks for the suggestions and advice.

              Yes comus can do that, using a template configuration separated in categories, being each category would be a different site, then using the Gallery Scheduler you can have them update new galleries when ever you want, like once a day, and set the day 30 days in advance, they can be set to rotate to allow the more favorite galleries to the top as well, to get better productivity.
              If you choose to use comus, hit me up and I'll explian it in better detail

                you could use
                WHERE Sponsor='sponsorname'
                and add an entry for every sponsor.

                example:
                instead of writing code to have TGPRotator insert 20 galleries, you'd insert 20 pieces of code to insert 1 gallery from 1 sponsor each...

                ugly, but it should work...

                      Thanks for the ideas.

                      So far all of the choices sound like they involve making the categories into paysites, then selecting a single gallery from each paysite. However, this still leaves the problem of setting up templates. I'd like the gallery placements to be somewhat random, rather than always having "site a" in "position 1", "site b" in "position 2", etc...

                      Do any of these software choices allow choosing random "categories" in the templates?

                      My first choice is an "out of the box" solution. I don't mind doing some custom coding to make things work the way we want, since this isn't a major change to how most TGP programs work. However, at this point I think we'll go with whatever software comes closest to doing what we need or is the easiest to customize.

                      Thanks,
                      James

                        the template that comes with the script will do that, or the prod 1 or prod 2 template will do that, plural macros will do that as well. All this that you want to do is very simple!

                          Comus and JMBSoft TGP rotator ...... you can do almost anything you can think up with these, sometimes you just have to get creative with your groups/catagories.
