    Content provider question

Suppose you had a company that provided leased video feeds to pay sites. Original, gonzo style amateur hardcore, approximately 30 minutes each in length. The feeds are updated monthly
with 5 or 6 new feeds. How much would you charge your customers for monthly access?
And is this the preferred way of obtaining video content, or would most webmasters prefer to get the videos on cd or via ftp and stream them themselves? Thanks for your help.

That's a tough question. I am not willing to speak for the masses. I prefer to purchase a license outright and host it myself. But I know of plenty of webmasters who lease.

Cost is directly related to speed, quality of video (resolution, lighting, etc.), how many feeds, and just how good the models look/what they are doing. No one charges the same. Since I have dismissed the notion of leasing feeds (for now) I am not up on price ranges.

Why wouldn't you offer them both for lease and for sale if you can? Win/win.

      Hey Ratboy,

Thanks for the input. I don't know why I didn't think of offering both options. Good way to start and if one is more popular than the other, we can just phase out the unpopular one.

if you're only interested in selling this content to paysites go with leasing. Take a look at what everybody else is charging and price yourself at whatever the going rate is for what you think is comparable quality video.

offer it up at a competitive price based on membership counts, but remember to put in small print that you reserve the right to
charge more based on bandwidth usage. People will steal your bandwidth blind if you don't monitor it.

        hmmmmmm............... is this Eric?
I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!
