Bax, why do you think it is a hard market? I would assume because of the many sites out there already. I think it can be done though.

I would like to one day have a network of pages, so I'll be branching out after a while I'm sure.

I didn't said it can't be done. I thought that competition in those niches is very strong. You need to have a good strategy and good knowledge about marketing those two niches.
That network of small niche pages is definitely a good idea
